There are very few things that I want for Christmas. I’m usually just content to give to other people and enjoy being with people that I love. The last few years I’ve noticed that people have stopped giving me Christmas presents. That’s fine… I was mentioning this to a friend the other day, and my friend seemed to think that people don’t buy me gifts because they have no idea what to give me. I thought about that… I thought some more. “Fair enough”, I thought. This year I decided to make a small list of things that I would like for Christmas. If for nothing else, it serves as a way for me to evaluate things I want and make decisions as to which ones are doable. So here goes:
1. Japanese tea set (World Market)
2. The Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl by Shauna Reid
3. The Sims Apartment Life (this game is definitely my guilty pleasure)
4. Stylish study Bible (they have some very nice ones in chocolate/pink, and chocolate/pistaccio)
5. A journal ( I love the papyrus -looking ones… Borders bookstore)
6. Gift card to Malco theatre (Love catching matinees)
7. Gift card to Walgreens (I LOVE Walgreens… People know me there)
8. Digital camera (mine broke)
9. Arm band to hold my ipod while working out (saw Fergie with one in People magazine)
10. Gift card to Bonefish or J.Alexander’s
11. One way ticket to Italy (Did I say that out loud?)
12. A wok
13. Food processor
14. Money! (nothing like old faithful… Accepting in multiples of $20
15. Gift cards to Ashley Stewart
16. Gift card to World Market
17. Colorful neck scarf
18. sewing machine
19. Spice caddy that swivels
20. Magazine subscription (Self, Shape, People, Vogue, Essence, O, or InStyle)

I don’t see neither “one way ticket to France”, nor “round trip to France” in the list. Should I be upset that I will not have a chance to see you again anytime soon ?
